Agreement
By accessing or using FAFSA Checklist 2026/27 (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service provides
The Service offers educational workflow tools, including personalized FAFSA-oriented checklists, guides, and related exports. Outputs are generated from your inputs and curated references; they may contain errors or become outdated as federal or school rules change.
Not legal, tax, or financial advice
Nothing on the Service is legal, tax, or individualized financial aid advice. You are solely responsible for submitting official applications, verifying deadlines, and confirming requirements with StudentAid.gov and your school’s financial aid office.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, violate these terms, or present security risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access data belonging to other users or to break authentication or rate limits;
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content;
- Scrape, resell, or systematically harvest the Service without written permission;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Partner links and third-party services
The Service may display optional links to third-party products or services, including sponsored partners. Those sites have separate terms and privacy policies. When you click certain partner links, we may route your browser through our infrastructure to append attribution parameters before you reach the partner.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including its design, text, and software. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial planning purposes. You may not copy substantial portions of the Service except where export features explicitly allow (for example a PDF of your own checklist).
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANYTHING.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us and our affiliates, directors, employees, and agents against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different governing law is required by your jurisdiction’s mandatory consumer protections.
Changes
We may modify these terms. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service where practical. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
